Trimaran Advisors, L.L.C. (“Trimaran
Advisors” or “the Advisors”), the credit-based
alternative asset management arm of Trimaran Capital Partners,
is located in New York City with approximately $1.5 billion
currently under management.
Trimaran Advisors focuses primarily on
below investment grade corporate debt, using primary credit
research to identify attractive investment opportunities and
monitor the credits in the firm’s investment portfolios.
The division currently manages several Collateralized Loan
Obligations and the firm expects to expand its product offering
to invest in other asset classes through various credit hedge
funds in the near future.
Trimaran Advisors is led by a seasoned
management team who has worked together for over 20 years,
and who has analyzed leveraged assets since the 1980s. The
team has been successful investing in multiple asset classes
and through differing market conditions, and has achieved
extremely low default rates by following a principal-preservation
oriented investment strategy intended to minimize credit defaults
while achieving strong overall returns.
